Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your email address. When you complete the questionnaire, we collect the answers you provide, which include personal details (first name, age, gender, neighborhood), lifestyle, values, relationship preferences, and free-text answers you choose to share. We also collect payment references you submit via PayNow.

We do not collect your photograph, last name, contact number, social media handles, or workplace. If you include any of these in a free-text field, we will remove them before sending to another member.

Why we collect it

We use your answers to run our compatibility engine and find potential matches. We use your email to send you match offers, payment confirmations, and venue details. We use your PayNow reference to reconcile payments. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads.

What we share with your match

When we offer a match, your potential match sees only:

• Your first name
• Your age
• Your neighborhood (at a general level)
• Your one-line bio (you write this yourself on the questionnaire)
• A compatibility score summary (our internal model's output)

Your match does not see your email, last name, phone, workplace, photo, or your answers to specific questions.

Who we share with otherwise

Service providers that help us operate: Supabase (database and auth), Vercel (hosting), Resend or similar (email delivery). These providers process data only on our behalf under strict terms.

We do not share your information with the venue. We book the table under our own codename. The venue does not know it is a blind date.

Retention and deletion

We keep your profile and questionnaire while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@atfirstsight.sg. On deletion we will remove your personal identifiers and questionnaire responses within 30 days. We may retain a minimal record of transactions and safety reports for up to 7 years, as required by Singapore law and for fraud prevention.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

Your rights

Under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act, you may request access to your data, correction, or deletion. Email us at hello@atfirstsight.sg.
